After being diagnosed with Celiac Disease in 2008, owner and founder Renee Hunt had to quickly learn how to cook for her new gluten free lifestyle (back when gluten free options weren’t on every grocery store shelf and restaurants were clueless as to what being gluten free meant). That learning experience turned into a passion for cooking and she began experimenting and creating her own recipes. In 2018, Renee decided to give the keto lifestyle a try after struggling to lose the extra weight gained by two pregnancies and the crippling impact of Hoshimotos (autoimmune thyroid disease). Combining her love for cooking with a new lifestyle not only led to losing 50 pounds but also the discovery that she had something to offer her friends who were struggling to lose weight. In January, after praying for wisdom and guidance on how to use her talents and passions to help others, Renee felt led to start a meal prep business. With some Divine help and an incredible network of supportive friends, Renee started Heat N Eat in February 2020.
Heat N Eat MEAL PREP SERVICES offers 100% gluten free options that specialize in the vegan, health conscious, keto, and low carb lifestyles. The meals are carefully designed to meet the dietary needs of each lifestyle, without sacrificing taste, quality and diversity of options. The menu is flexible and designed to keep customers happy and excited about new options. Several options, aptly named “fan favorites” are finding themselves on the menu weekly, while other meal options are made available as a weekly special. Currently, weekly menus are available to order Tuesday through Friday with pickups Monday evening.
Renee's passion for sharing healthy and fresh food with others has expanded her offerings to open a brunch Eatery and custom Catering.
Passion for helping others meets convenient, healthy food in order to meet various dietary lifestyles. For Renee Hunt, it’s not just about convenience, it’s about providing healthy alternatives for the busy life. Being busy is just a reality in our culture and unfortunately that usually means sacrificing health for convenience. Giving people a way to eat delicious and healthy food, conveniently, is at the core of Heat N Eat’s purpose. More importantly, Renee Hunt desires to give people a reason to be excited about being healthy. For her, removing one of the biggest stressors for busy people is all about helping others.
